HIIT! High Intensity Interval Training. This will be 2017’s trend. We are going back into a workout system that is not new, but revived from the masses knowing and understanding its importance in fat loss, weight loss and calorie burning abilities.
HIIT is highly effective in increasing your EPOC levels, which is your Excess Post Oxygen Consumption levels. To get to this, exercise must be done at high intensity, faster repetitions and with added resistance. When your muscles do not receive enough oxygen and are worked beyond the body’s ability to supply the muscle with oxygen, EPOC levels rise. When your body get to this state you will require calories to bring the body back to its normal state or supplying the used muscles with the oxygen it requires. This is the reason for the ‘burning calories’ phrase you hear or talk about!
HIIT classes are available in Perth. You can find them in certain gyms that do offer these services or gyms that specialise solely on HIIT classes. Some CrossFit gyms do offer these classes as their offerings.
